StuffSensei Terms of Use

StuffSensei: Home Organization & Inventory is a Kalix Labs collaboration (“we”). These terms cover using the app, the optional cloud account and StuffSensei Pro. By using StuffSensei you agree to them.
The short version
The app is free, with no ads: everything on your phone, Insights included, for one property. StuffSensei Pro is an optional subscription that adds cloud backup and sync, sharing your home, and unlimited properties. Joining someone else’s shared home is always free: the owner’s Pro covers everyone in it. You can cancel Pro any time.
StuffSensei Pro subscriptions
- Plans: StuffSensei Pro Monthly ($4.99 a month) and StuffSensei Pro Yearly ($39.99 a year), in US dollars. Prices in other countries are set by the App Store or Google Play and shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment: charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- Auto-renewal: Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the same price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling: in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or from the app at Settings › StuffSensei Pro › Manage subscription. Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies.
- Price changes: if a price changes, the App Store or Google Play tells you first, as their rules require.
- What Pro covers: one person and their household. Your account can be signed in on up to 2 phones or tablets at a time. In a home you share, up to 4 people can edit, you included, and as many as you like can view; each person uses their own free account. Each cloud copy has 5 GB of room. Please don’t share your sign-in with others to get around these limits; if you need more, write to us.
- When Pro ends: nothing on your phone is deleted. Properties you already have stay; adding another, syncing your own cloud copy and sharing your home wait until Pro is back. A home you shared turns view-only for everyone in it until then. Your cloud copy is kept until you delete it.
Your stuff is yours
What you put into StuffSensei (items, photos, receipts, notes and plans) belongs to you. We only use it to run the features you choose, as the Privacy Policy explains. You can export or delete it at any time.
Your cloud account
Keep your password to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens in your account. If you share a home, everyone you invite can see it, and those you allow can change it. Please don’t use StuffSensei to store anything illegal or to harm anyone. We may close accounts that do.
Values, warranties and reminders
StuffSensei helps you keep track of things, but it isn’t insurance, legal or financial advice. Values, spending totals, warranty dates and reminders are only as good as what’s entered, and a reminder can be missed if your phone is off or notifications are turned off. Please check anything important yourself.
The app itself
StuffSensei is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it reliable and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be free of errors or available. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for lost data or indirect losses from using it. Keeping a backup (Settings › Export & backup, or Pro cloud backup) is a good idea. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law where you live.
Apple and Google
If you got StuffSensei from the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies. If you got it from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply. Apple and Google aren’t responsible for StuffSensei or its support.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Changes to Pro’s price only take effect as described above.
